Rabbi Feivel of Paksh proposes changing the Ashkenazi custom of the Rosh Chodesh Torah reading so that the third oleh skips instead of the Levi. The Chasam Sofer firmly rejects the change, invoking the principle that one who seeks to change accepted practice is at a disadvantage.
