A get was brought with two scribal irregularities: the city name 'Nagd Mihael' split across two lines, and 'meimei bares' written instead of the standard 'mei bares.' The Chasam Sofer rules the get valid on both counts, explaining that 'Nagd' is a separable descriptor rather than part of the city name, and that writing 'meimei' (drinkable water) instead of the neutral 'mei' is a narrowing error but not one that invalidates the get. He nonetheless recommends investigating the scribes' competence if there is no concern of igun.
