A man disappeared and a body was found in a pit; witnesses identified the body by clear facial recognition, all clothing, and bodily marks (a mole and scar) reported by the wife before the search. The Chasam Sofer confirms Rabbi Meir's ruling that the cumulative evidence constitutes identification stronger than a siman muvhak, sufficient by all opinions to permit the wife to remarry, and instructs a beis din of three to be convened to do so.
