A woman whose husband was publicly crucified recognized his body by tevi'as ayin the following day and again eight days and one year later; a single witness also testified to burying him intact. The Chasam Sofer constructs a mimmah nafshach argument — either the body is identified as the husband who died recently, or he has been hanging two years and is certainly dead — and permits the woman to remarry after a beis din of three convenes to hear her testimony.
