The Chasam Sofer rules that the transaction involving credit sale of whiskey at a higher price is entirely permitted. He dismisses both the Ralbach concern (regarding an intermediary acquisition directed by the buyer) and the Ritva concern (regarding the buyer's subsequent resale at a loss), finding neither applicable to the circumstances described, where no established market price existed for the whiskey.
