A piece of treif lamb was cooked with kosher ox meat, and the resulting broth spilled into other pots of unknown volume. The Chasam Sofer rules that the broth mixture is eino mino and must be treated stringently, rejecting the Taz's leniency in favor of the Shach. Regarding the absorbed taste in the ox meat, he distinguishes between the rabbinic min b'mino rule (approximate taste similarity suffices) and the Torah-level ta'am k'ikar principle (any perceptible taste difference renders the forbidden component non-nullifiable), concluding that since goat and ox taste differently, the treif taste cannot be nullified.
