A study group asks how the Talmudic dispute (Yoma 34a) about whether nesachim are primarily prescribed for the morning or evening Tamid can exist, given that the verse seemingly models the evening upon the morning. The Chasam Sofer resolves this by showing that in Parshas Pinchas an intervening verse separates the flour-minchah (linked to morning) from the wine-nesech (linked to evening), unlike Parshas Tetzaveh where both refer to the morning.
