Rabbi Akiva Eiger corrects a garbled report of two Torah insights. First, he explains why Tosfos in Chullin 103a directs its question about treifah and ever min hachai only at Reish Lakish and not R' Yochanan: the scriptural exclusion of kol she'besaro mutar applies only to issur mosif, not to ba'as achas, and R' Yochanan's position places the prohibitions in the latter category. Second, he challenges the Rema MiPano's reading of Mishnah Parah by demonstrating from Gittin and Sukkah that R' Yehudah sides with R' Yosei and R' Shimon, not with R' Meir.
