The Chasam Sofer resolves an apparent contradiction between the Mishneh LaMelech's ruling that a convert who gave birth as a gentile has dam tohar, and the Baraisa in Bechoros stating she has neither days of impurity nor purity, by distinguishing between the purity of blood seen during the purity period (permitted to her husband) and the Temple-entry restriction of tevulas yom arokh (which does not apply since she was never rendered impure as a gentile). He also resolves a secondary contradiction regarding the five sin-offerings that must die and a bird sin-offering, proving from precise Talmudic language that the concern in Gittin is chulin ba'azarah, not the rule of sin-offerings that die, thus vindicating Rashi's position.
