This siman is a formal transcript of a beis din deposition (gevias eidus) taken before three judges under oath and solemn warning. It records testimony concerning whether a young Kohen's placement of a ring on a woman's finger on Shabbos, accompanied by the kiddushin formula but claimed by both parties to have been done entirely in jest, constitutes valid betrothal requiring a get.
