The Chasam Sofer rules that a daughter may collect on both a first and second Shtar Chatzi Zachar (totaling 3,000 gold coins) because a Shtar Chatzi Zachar is classified as a loan document, and all authorities agree that two loan documents on the same debt are both collectible. Nevertheless, since the father likely intended the second document to replace the first with a higher amount, the Chasam Sofer recommends a compromise settlement.
