A leavened wheat kernel was found in a cholent pot during Pesach while multiple pots were in the same oven. Rabbi Akiva Eiger defends his lenient ruling permitting the other pots, arguing that absorbed flavor cannot transfer between vessels without a liquid medium, and that even where overflow may have created a conduit the chametz taste does not reawaken after Pesach, rendering the food subject to davar she'yesh lo matirin and permissible once Pesach ends.
