This teshuva is a formal record of witness testimony (geviyas eidus) collected by a beis din in Palanka regarding the murder of Machel ben R' Zanvil Katz, whose decapitated body was found in the fields of Kukritz. Five witnesses identified the corpse through physical build and a distinctive arba kanfos with a red background and white dots, corroborated by the wife herself, to permit her to remarry.
