Rabbi Zalman Sorotzkin was a Lithuanian-born rav, communal leader, and halachic authority. He served as rav of Lutsk in prewar Poland and was a leading figure in Agudas Yisrael and the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah, as well as head of the Vaad HaYeshivos in Eretz Yisrael. His major works include the multi-volume commentary on the Chumash Oznayim LaTorah, the responsa collection Moznayim LaMishpat, and a commentary on the Haggadah HaShir VeHaShevach, the latter published posthumously.
