Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneerson was the sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe and a leading Chabad figure. He is associated with the preservation and expansion of Chabad institutions under Soviet persecution and with the dissemination of his teachings through Sippurim, Zichronos and related publications. After his exile from Soviet Russia, he rebuilt Chabad’s educational network in Poland and later in the United States.
