Rabbi Yosef Kapach was a posek and dayan, and a central rabbinic figure for the Yemenite community in Israel. He is known for his critical editions and Hebrew translations of the Rambam’s works, especially Mishneh Torah, based on early Yemenite manuscripts. His scholarly restorations of medieval texts and extensive commentary contributed to the study of Rambam and other Rishonim.
