Rabbi Yosef Eliyahu Henkin was a leading halachic decisor and posek in America, best known for his leadership of Ezras Torah and for his responsa and halachic writings. He also served as a rabbi and rosh yeshiva in several Russian communities before emigrating to the United States, where he became a major authority on practical halacha, especially the laws of divorce.
