Rabbi Yitzchak Meir Alter was the first Rebbe and founder of the Ger Chasidic dynasty, and a disciple of Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Kotzk. His novellae on the Talmud and Shulchan Aruch are published in his work Chiddushei HaRim. He established his court in Gora Kalwaria (Ger), Poland.
