Biography

Rabbi Yisrael Zev Gustman served as the youngest dayan on Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzinski's beis din in Vilna. He was Rosh Yeshiva of the Netzach Yisrael yeshiva in Vilna from 1935 until World War II. After escaping the Vilna Ghetto, he re-established his yeshiva in the United States and later in Israel, where he founded the Netzach Yisrael–Vilna Ramilles Yeshiva in Jerusalem.
