Biography

Rabbi Yirmiyahu ben Yitzchak Rosenbaum was a communal rabbi and posek who served as Chief Rabbi of Mattersburg and later of Abaújszánto. His primary work, Moda'ah Rabbah, is a commentary on Rabbi Chaim Shabbetai's Torat Chayim and reflects his engagement with complex areas of halacha. Through this sefer and his communal leadership, he became associated with the rabbinic tradition of the Mattersdorf community.
