Rabbi Yehoshua Boaz ben Shimon Baruch was a Sephardic scholar who settled in Italy and produced the indispensable Talmudic reference apparatus printed in nearly every edition of the Talmud since: Ein Mishpat Ner Mitzvah, Torah Or, and Masoret HaShas. He also authored Shiltei HaGiborim, a major commentary on the Rif.
