Rabbi Yechezkel Katzenellenbogen served as rabbi of Altona and authored the responsa collection Keneset Yechezkel, published in Altona in 1732. He also composed Tefillot le-Yarẓait, prayers for the yahrzeit, along with homilies, novellae, and his ethical will Ẓawwa'at R. Yeḥezḳel. His descendants held rabbinic positions in Polish communities for four generations.
