Rabbi Yechezkel Abramsky, a student of Rabbi Chaim Soloveitchik of Brisk, served as a rabbi in Soviet Russia. He was arrested and sentenced to Siberia for his religious activities before his release was secured through international pressure in 1931. He then served as Av Beis Din of London from 1934 to 1951. His major work, the 24-volume Chazon Yechezkel, is a commentary on the Tosefta.
