Rabbi Yaakov Dovid Wilovsky, known by his acronym Ridvaz, was a rabbinic authority and educator. He authored extensive supercommentaries on seminal Talmudic works, including the Ridvaz al HaRif, Chiddushei HaRidvaz al HaRosh, and Chiddushei HaRidvaz al HaRambam, which became standard references in yeshiva study. He established yeshivos in both Europe and the Land of Israel.
