Rabbi Yosef Chaim Shneur Kotler was the second Rosh Yeshiva of Beth Medrash Govoha (BMG) in Lakewood, New Jersey, succeeding his father, Rabbi Aharon Kotler. He expanded the yeshiva from fewer than 200 students into a post-graduate Torah institution with over 1,000 students. Beyond BMG, he established over 30 community and "Lakewood-style" kollels across North America and was a member of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah.
