Biography

Rabbi Shmuel Borenstein was the second Rebbe of the Sochatchov Chasidic dynasty, succeeding his father, Rabbi Avraham Bornsztain, the Avnei Nezer. His collected teachings, Shem MiShmuel, is a foundational work of Chasidic thought, organized according to the weekly Torah portions and holidays.
