Biography

Rabbi Pinchas Horowitz, a talmid of the Maggid of Mezeritch, served as Av Beis Din of Frankfurt am Main and was a significant figure in early Chassidus. He is known as the Ba'al Hafla'ah after his analytical Talmudic work on tractate Kesubos. His Panim Yafos is a Chassidic commentary on the Torah.
