Biography

Rabbi Moshe Soloveichik was an Orthodox Lithuanian rabbi and talmid chacham, a son of Rabbi Chaim Soloveichik of Brisk and bearer of the Brisker derech in lomdus. He served as rav in several European communities and later as rosh yeshiva of the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS) at Yeshiva University in New York, where he trained a generation of American rabbanim. His teachings, delivered largely in shiurim rather than formal writings, were transmitted and systematized by his talmidim and family.
