Biography

Rabbi Moshe Rivkas was a Lithuanian posek and communal rabbi in Vilna. He was best known for his comprehensive Shulchan Aruch commentary Be'er HaGolah, which traces the Talmudic and halachic sources of the Shulchan Aruch’s rulings. He also left incomplete writings on halacha, Mishnah and Talmud that did not reach publication.
