Biography

Rabbi Moshe Greenwald was a Hungarian rav and posek, known for his halachic responsa Arugas HaBosem. His communal leadership centered on the rabbinate of Khust. His major work, Arugas HaBosem, is a collection of responsa that reflects his role in shaping late 19th-century Oberland halachic discourse. Through his sons, he became the progenitor of the Pupa Chasidic dynasty.
