Rabbi Moshe Galante was a member of the rabbinic court of Rabbi Yosef Caro in 16th-century Tzfas. A talmid of Rabbi Yosef Caro, he was one of the signatories on the original semichah conferred upon his teacher. His grandson and namesake later became the Rishon LeTzion in Yerushalayim.
