Rabbi Mordechai Yosef Leiner, known as the Ishbitzer, was a Chasidic thinker and founder of the Izhbitza-Radzyn dynasty. He is known for his Mei HaShiloach, a collection of teachings on the weekly Torah portion and holidays published posthumously by his grandson, Rabbi Gershon Henoch Leiner. His teachings emphasized divine providence over all human actions and influenced later Chasidic and mussar thought.
