Rabbi Meshullam Igra was a Galician-born Talmudic scholar known for his pilpul and command of halachic literature. He served leading communities in Galicia and then Pressburg, where he was the immediate predecessor of the Chasam Sofer. His teachings and responsa are collected in Igra Ramah and Igra d'Kallah.
