Rabbi Rabbi Mendel Zaks was a rosh yeshiva and the son-in-law of Rabbi Yisrael Meir Kagan, the Chofetz Chaim. He served as the rosh yeshiva of the Radun Yeshiva, first in Europe, and later re-established the yeshiva in the United States after World War II. In America, he was also appointed the first Rosh Kollel of Beth Medrash Govoha in Lakewood, served as a rosh yeshiva and bochen at Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary, and was a member of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah.
