Rabbi Menachem Azaryah of Fano was an Italian Talmudist, posek, and Kabbalist who synthesized the systems of Rabbi Moshe Cordovero and the Ari. He authored the kabbalistic work Asarah Maamarot, published in Venice in 1597, along with numerous other treatises on Kabbalah, prayer, and halacha. A collection of his 130 responsa demonstrates his precision in halachic decision-making, often diverging from Rabbi Yosef Karo.
