Rabbi Rabbi Meir Schiff was a German rabbi and Talmudic scholar who served as a dayan and rosh yeshiva in Fulda. He authored novellae (chiddushim) on several tractates of the Talmud, known as Chiddushei Halachos, which he composed during his tenure in Fulda. Appointed to his first rabbinic post at age seventeen, he died at thirty-six in 1644 shortly after arriving in Prague to assume a new position.
