Biography

Rabbi Meir Eisenstadt was a halachic authority of the early 18th century. He served as rabbi in several communities across Central Europe before settling in Eisenstadt, where he established a yeshiva. His responsa, Shu"t Panim Me'iros, became a reference for later poskim, and his Ohr HaGanuz on Bava Kamma is a model of analytical depth.
