Rabbi Matzliach Mazuz was a dayan and communal rabbi in Tunisia, serving on the rabbinical court in Tunis and among the senior rabbinic leaders of Tunisian Jewry. He founded and headed the Kisse Rachamim yeshiva in Tunis, combining his role as communal posek with intensive Torah teaching. His murder in 1971 and subsequent reburial on Har HaZeisim made a deep impression on North African Jewish communities.
