Rabbi Gershon Henoch Leiner was the third rebbe of the Izhbitza-Radzin Chassidic dynasty and the first of its leaders to be known as the Radzyner Rebbe. He undertook extensive research to identify the chilazon, the creature used for the biblical blue dye of techeiles, concluding that it was the common cuttlefish. Based on his findings, he re-instituted the practice of wearing a techeiles thread on tzitzis, a custom adopted by his followers and continued in Radzyn chassidus.
