Biography

Rabbi Eliyahu Mizrachi was a posek and rabbinical authority in the Ottoman Empire. He served as the leading rabbinic figure in Constantinople after the passing of Rabbi Moshe Capsali. His major work is Sefer ha-Mizrachi, a supercommentary on Rashi's Torah commentary.
