Biography

Rabbi Eliezer Papo was a scholar and communal leader who served as the Chief Rabbi of Silistra. Born in Sarajevo, he is known for his work of ethics and spiritual guidance, Pele Yoetz, which gained wide acceptance across both Sephardic and Ashkenazi communities. He was known for his piety and for his gravesite serving as a pilgrimage site.
