Biography

Rabbi Elazar Menachem Man Shach was a leader in Lithuanian Haredi Judaism, serving as co-dean of the Ponevezh Yeshiva in Bnei Brak and chairman of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah. From the early 1970s until his passing, he was recognized as a leading halachic authority and provided spiritual guidance to a large number of Orthodox Jews.
