Rabbi Rabbi Dovber Schneuri, known as the Mitteler Rebbe, was the second rebbe of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement, succeeding his father, Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi. He authored numerous works on Chabad philosophy and Kabbalah, including discourses on contemplation and prayer that were later collected into more than 30 volumes. After his father's passing, he established his court in the town of Lyubavichi, which became the center of the Chabad movement for more than a century.
