Biography

Rabbi Chaim ben Attar was a kabbalist and Talmudist born in Morocco who established the Knesset Yisrael yeshiva in Jerusalem. His major work, the Torah commentary Ohr HaChaim, integrates halachic and mystical insights. This work became a foundational text studied in Sephardic and Chasidic communities.
