Biography

Rabbi Avraham Menachem Steinberg was a posek and communal rabbi in Galicia, serving in Sniatyn and later as Av Beis Din of Brody. He authored the responsa Machazeh Avraham, the first volume of which was published in 1927 and was the only one of his works printed in his lifetime. A Sadigerer Chassid, he was also one of the founders of Agudat Yisrael.
