Rabbi Avraham Gombiner was a seventeenth-century posek who served as a dayan and rosh yeshiva in Kalisz, Poland. He is the author of Magen Avraham, a foundational commentary on the Orach Chaim section of the Shulchan Aruch. This work became a highly esteemed authority in halachic decisions and was published posthumously in 1692.
