Rabbi Aryeh Leib Amsterdam was a Polish rabbi who served in several European communities, including Głogów, Rzeszów, and Lwów, before being appointed Chief Rabbi of the Ashkenazi community of Amsterdam in 1740. In Amsterdam, he also served as head of the rabbinical court and head of the local yeshiva, holding his posts for fifteen years until his death. He was the son-in-law of Rabbi Tzvi Ashkenazi, the Chacham Tzvi.
